What is TIA?

TIA (the Telecommunications Industry Association) is the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks. We are seeking innovative information and communications technology (ICT) companies which are creating new products and services that will build the next generation of communications networks and the platforms and applications that will take advantage of the increased connectivity.

Application Deadline: April 3, 2017, Midnight PDT.

Why Challenge Your Company?

TIA is a renowned and respected ICT organization in the United States. The TIA Connectivity Jam is part of the TIA @ccelerate! year-long program which convenes the connectivity community to solve the burning issues and challenges it faces. The connectivity community is transforming from legacy systems to new technologies, business models, and market solutions. ICT company executives attend the annual TIA Connectivity Jam to share and discuss the latest advances in technology and industry business strategies. This means they want to hear from YOU!

      • 5G technologies as well as legacy systems, LPWAN networks, unlicensed wireless, licensed and unlicensed spectrum, backhaul, data centers, towers, cabling, fiber, satellite and all other communications topics related to this category.
  2. Virtualization
    • This refers to the movement to virtualization that is affecting every component of the connectivity infrastructure, including: NFV/SDN, SD-WAN, the cloud.
    • This category includes the integration of Open Source software and standards.
  3. Deploying Internet of Things
    • This includes both the communications infrastructure as well as the commercial, consumer, and government uses of IoT as they impact the development and deployment of the connectivity infrastructure. Related areas include:
      • Smart & Connected Communities (S&CC)
      • Vehicle Connectivity and Intelligent Roadways
      • Industrial Internet
      • Mixed, Augmented and Virtual Reality as used to connect people to have an experience in an environment
      • Wearables as used to connect people to their environments
      • Other related segments

We also are focusing on specific cross cutting disruptions and challenges:

Within the themes Transforming Connectivity Infrastructure, Virtualized Networks & Software and Deploying Internet of Things, there will be three cross cutting areas of disruption and challenge:

  1. Employee Staffing and Training
